Strawberry Margarita

Using fresh or frozen strawberries, this party favourite is definitely a great drink for entertaining or to serve with Mexican food.
Serves: 1
- 4-6 whole unsweetned strawberries (washed & hulled, fresh or frozen)
- 1 1/2 oz./45g teguila
- 1/2 oz/14g triple sec
- 1 oz./30g lemon or lime juice
- 4-5 ice cubes
- salt to prepare glasses
- Rind of lemon or lime to prepare glasses
Serves: 6
- 1 - 1 1/2 cup/250-375mL whole unsweetened strawberries (washed & hulled, fresh or frozen)
- 9 oz./270g tequila
- 3 oz./85g triple sec
- 1 juice of 1 lemon or line (reserve rind)
- 1 1/2 trays ice cubes
- salt to prepare glasses
Instructions:
- Combine strawberries, tequila, triple sec and lemon juice in blender. Process until strawberries are pureed.
- Add ice cubes and blend until mixture is shaved, but not slushy.
- Rub rim of champagne glass with rind of lemon or lime. Dip rim in salt.
- Pour in blended mixture.
- Garnish using a fresh whole strawberry with hull (optional).
