Strawberry Daiquiri

The daiquiri is a classic strawberry cocktail made for hosting guests, a party, or just because. This recipe is from the popular strawberry recipe book. Best part is it can be made with fresh or frozen berries.
Serves: 1
- 4 - 6 whole unsweetened strawberries, washed & hulled (fresh or frozen)
- 1 jigger (1 1/2 oz.)/45 g light rum
- 1 tbsp/15 mL lime juice
- 1 tsp/5 mL sugar
- 4 - 5 ice cubes
Serves: 6
- 1 1/2 cup/375 mL whole unsweetned strawberries, washed & hulled (fresh or frozen)
- 3/4 cup/200 mL light rum
- 1 juice of a lime
- 2 tbs/25 mL sugar
- 1 1/2 trays ice cubes
Directions:
- Combine strawberries, rum, lime juice and sugar in blender. Process until strawberries are pureed.
- Add ice cubes and blend until mixture is slushy. (Skip ice cubes if using frozen strawberries)
- Serve in champagne glasses.
- Garnish using a fresh whole strawberry with hull.
